Too low relative humidity will slow down the curing speed of the sealant. Too high relative humidity may form a film of condensed water on the surface of the substrate, affect the adhesion of the sealant and the substrate, and may also cause the sealant to form bubbles.

   Bonding spacers are used to prevent the sealant from contacting undesired surfaces or materials. This type of bonding will destroy the performance of the sealant. The materials that can be used as adhesive spacers are: polyethylene or polytetrafluoroethylene self-adhesive tape or the anti-adhesive material recommended by our company. Liquid bonding spacers are not recommended because they may contaminate the bonded surface during use. Bonded spacers are used on hard, non-deformable cushioning materials at the bottom of the seam to prevent the sealant from bonding to these materials, forming a harmful three-sided bond. The soft and easily deformable open-cell gasket material does not require bonding spacers because it does not significantly restrict the free movement of the sealant. Oil-impregnated materials, asphalt, unvulcanized polymers, and similar materials cannot be used as bonding spacers.
