Silicone rubber is room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber. It is a paste made of 107 silicone rubber and fillers as main raw materials, supplemented by crosslinking agents, thixotropic agents, coupling agents, and catalysts under vacuum. At room temperature, it reacts with water in the air and solidifies to form elastic silicone rubber.

　　 Silicone rubber products have strict requirements on the storage environment. Poor storage environment will reduce the performance of silicone rubber and even make the product solidify. In severe cases, a certain aspect of the performance of the silicone rubber will be lost and the product will be scrapped.

　　In a high temperature environment, silicone rubber will accelerate aging, produce a "reduction" phenomenon, accelerate part of the performance loss, and shorten the shelf life. Therefore, the storage temperature has a great influence on the quality of silicone rubber, so the storage temperature should not exceed 27°C.

　　 In a low temperature environment, too low ambient temperature will crystallize the cross-linking agent and coupling agent in the silicone rubber. Crystallization can lead to poor glue appearance and uneven local additives. The colloid can be partially cured during the sizing process. Therefore, crystalline silica gel cannot be used. In order to prevent the crystallization of silicone rubber, the storage environment should not be lower than -5°C.

　　In a high-humidity environment, silicone glue will solidify when it comes in contact with water vapor. The greater the relative humidity in the storage environment, the faster the curing speed of the silicone glue. Dry glue is directly related to the relative humidity of the storage environment, and the relative humidity of the storage environment is required to be ≤70%.

　　The packaging of rigid tube silicone rubber is PE material, and the packaging of flexible packaging is aluminum film material. Under the same conditions, the water vapor transmission rate of aluminum film material is lower than that of PE material. This is the same glue. Hard packaging is more prone to dryness than flexible packaging. Therefore, under the same storage environment, it is necessary to pay attention to the shelf life of rigid packaging products.

　　 In short, silicone rubber products should be stored in a dry, ventilated, and cool place. The storage temperature should be between -5 and 27℃, and the storage humidity should be ≤70%. Avoid storing in wind and rain. Under normal transportation and storage conditions, the storage period is at least 6 months from the date of production.

　　In order to prevent the quality of silicone rubber products from deteriorating during storage, I have the following suggestions, which I hope will help you:

　　 1. Large warehouses should be located in a cool place away from direct sunlight. It is not suitable to be located in low-lying places where water is easy to accumulate. For high-temperature warehouses, do a good job of cooling the roof. When conditions permit, install air conditioners and dehumidifiers in small warehouses to maintain constant temperature and humidity in the warehouse during summer and rainy season.

　　2. Achieve first-in, first-out, avoid paying attention to hard-packaged products after the backlog of advanced products, and maintain a relatively good storage environment for hard-packaged products.
